- When you’re writing a note (Keď píšeš odkaz): greet and sign off just by writing names (pozdrav a rozlúčku urob len napísaním mena), keep the text short and give only the important information (drž text krátky a uveď iba dôležité informácie), remember that you don’t have to write full sentences (pamätaj, že nemusíš písať celé vety). When you’re writing a text message (Keď píšeš textovú správu): you don’t need to write a greeting or to sign off (nemusíš písať pozdrav ani rozlúčku), you only give the important information and often shorten words and use SMS language/chatspeak (uvádzaš len dôležité informácie a často skracuješ slová a používaš SMS jazyk/chatový slang).

- Read the dialogue below. Can you understand any of it? (Prečítaj si dialóg nižšie. Rozumieš mu aspoň čiastočne?). Listen and read. Does the text help you understand the dialogue above better? (Počúvaj a čítaj. Pomáha ti text lepšie porozumieť dialógu vyššie?). Read again and answer the questions (Prečítaj znova a odpovedz na otázky). Complete the sentences with the words in the box (Doplň vety slovami z rámčeka). Listen and repeat. What’s the difference between the sounds? Listen and tick the sound you hear (Počúvaj a opakuj. Aký je rozdiel medzi zvukmi? Počúvaj a označ zvuk, ktorý počuješ). Look at the texts below. What are they? Listen and check (Pozri sa na texty nižšie. Čo sú to? Počúvaj a skontroluj). Listen to two short telephone calls and complete the missing information (Vypočuj si dva krátke telefonáty a doplň chýbajúce informácie). Read the situation below and write a note and a text message (Prečítaj si situáciu nižšie a napíš odkaz a textovú správu).
